Caitec Group of Companies was founded by Mr. Tang Hong on his arrival to Ghana from China in 1995. The business began as Caitec Delta Limited, which was registered under the companies’ code of 1963 of the republic of Ghana Act 179 to commence business in trading and general merchandize.

The company Caitec Delta engaged in the import and sale of products such GT Radial tyres, Taishan tyres, Chaoyang Doublesar and Triangle tyres; all Chinse brands. In the course of time, the company added trading in Air conditioners, car batteries, auto spare parts, and lubricants and Weichai Generators.

The high demand in the Ghanaian market and the ingenuity the company’s CEO gave birth another company, Caitec Motors Ltd., which was to deal in import, wholesale, distribution and retailing of vehicles and spare parts on the Ghanaian market. The company gain the sole dealership in Ghana for import, sale and servicing of Dongfeng “Nissan” Pickups, Sany Excavators, Shacman and “Faw” tipper trucks, Tractor head brand of heavy-duty trucks. Today Caitec Motors can boast of other brands such as JAC modern Pick-ups.

In 2004, Mr. Tang Hong saw the need to help the local fishing industry with the establishment of the Golden Sea Fishing Net company to undertake local manufacturing of fishing nets and accessories. The company grew faster than anticipated and later became a subsidiary of the group under the name, Caitec Fishing Industries Limited, dealing in fishing nets, ropes and marine motors.

The Hai Hong EST, a construction company was later be established as part of the group. The company has taken a couple of construction projects around Ghana with the end result being excellent including the famous Tang Palace Hotel; a 4-STAR hotel at Roman ridge, Accra. The company alone has a local work force of about three hundred Ghanaians (300) and twenty-four (24) expatriates.

By the year 2010, Mr. Tang Hong’s name had become household name in the Ghanaian business landscape. His resilience, his honesty and his love for this country could not go unnoticed. In a bid to further show how much he loves Ghana and to further prove that this is his new home, in 2016, the built the ultramodern 4-Star hotel in Accra and named it after his own name; The TANG PALACE HOTEL LTD and today is currently in operation and rated one of the most luxurious hotels in Ghana, wining many awards as one of the world luxury hotels.

CAITEC GROUP is headquartered at the Caitec Tower, Mallam Junction Accra.

With the group still growing, more goals are being implemented to ensure the group continues to improve in the Ghanaian market.
