Mr. Tang Hong Sponsors the 2022 President’s Putter Golf Championship


Chairman of Ghana association of Chinese societies and the Ghana chamber of commerce, Mr. Tang Hong was the main sponsor of the 2022 president’s putter at the celebrity golf house at Sakomono in Accra. Close to two hundred golfers signed up for the well-organised competition  this Saturday. The club’s president Tang Hong commended the participants for turning out in their numbers and promised to support golf in the country especially among the youth.

Mr. Robbet Degbe emerged the tops in the senior’s professional event as top golfer Vicent Toga shot two hundred three stokes, ten and cause par over two day to win the pros event. A promising young golfer, Afi Amezado won the ‘close to the pin’ prize in the ladies category, while John Kaba won in the men’s group.

The longest drive prize went to Esi Bernice in the ladies group with Romeo Sasu picking the men category.

Three top winners of the ultimate prizes were Gary Nglovu, Eric Ofosuhene and Francis Amuzu as first second and third winners respectively. All three winners took home special prizes ranging from cash prices to auto product such as ANRNOLD CAR BATTERIES, GT RADIAL TYRES etc.

A special price was handed to young Micheal Nyakoh for his consistency and focus on the sports.

Tournament coordinator who serves as the captain of the Ghana Professional Golfers Association, Mr. John Mawuli Wonders, commanded sponsors for their supports and dedication to the promotion of the golf in Ghana.

Reacting to how successful the event had been, Mr. Tang Hong expressed his surprise as to how fast the event had been and the high level of professionalism of players and most importantly how well the golf course has been well maintained for such a tournament.

He called on more people and corporate bodies to come on board to help lift the face of the golf course which is a very big one, needing more equipment and workers to lift it to an international standard.
